About Profile

As the IT In-charge of the institute, I am responsible for overseeing and managing the institute’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless Intranet & Internet connectivity (LAN & WiFi), Network administration, Videoconferencing facility, maintaining Web-content, Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System.

Research Experience

Involved as a 'Co-PI' in a collaborative research project entitled, 'Novel malaria surveillance system along international borders to North-East India using mobile platforms’ (during the period 2016-2019). The project is the extension of the earlier pilot project, entitled, 'MoSQuIT' (2012-2014). The projects were completed successfully in due course of time in collaboration with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune and ICMR- RMRCNE Dibrugarh for the mobile surveillance of Malaria in international border districts of Northeast India.

Awards & Acheivements

While working as ‘Co-Principal Investigator’ for the ICMR Intramural Project entitled, 'Mosquit' (2012-2014) and the project entitled, 'Novel Malaria surveillance system along international borders to North-East India using mobile platforms' (2016-2019), the following Recognition/ Awards were achieved jointly by C-DAC, Pune & ICMR-
RMRCNE, Dibrugarh from various organizations conferred for the above 2 projects:
i) mBillionth South Asia Award 2013
ii) SKOCH Digital Inclusion Award 2013
iii) E North East Award 2014
iv) Selected as world’s best 25 under Social Innovations in Health Initiatives by (SIHI) WHO
v) The Open Group Expert Panel- The President’s Award for category 'ICT for Social Development’ for “MoSQuIT”.
